Elia Fregola
34 years old, born in January 1987 and immersed in the water of Santa Caterina dello Ionio, from that moment he is part of the water. Growing up in Rome every weekend running away to go to the sea.
At the age of 8, the first #sailing course on Lake Garda, spent every August on fishing boats in Calabria with his Calabrian grandparents, when in was 19 he discovers the world of freediving with Apnea Academy - Water Instinct and fell in love with the underwater world.
At the age of 20 he expands his knowledge on the world of the sea and the wind with the #KiteSurf course in Gizzeria, Calabria.
At the age of 22 he got the Italian sailing licence and and immediately became assistant instructor on cabin cruisers with Scainetti Sail, one of the best historic Roman sailing school. For about 6 years he worked as a assistant #skipper on 12/15 meter cabin cruisers.
In the spring of 2014 and 2015 he has worked as an instructor of #sailing for Mal di Mare, a sailing school for children and teen ager with mental and physical disabilities.He continues his career as #assistant #instructor / #skipper on cabin cruisers with the Panta Nautical Academy Rei until 2017.
In 2020 he has opened a seasonal #SUP school in Calabria with which he will discover the wonders of the wrecks present on the shallow water and the beauty of the open sea in the early morning.
Elia spent several years of his life traveling around the world between Australia, California, Malta and Lithuania. In addition to the love for the sea, Elia graduated in Training and development of Human Resources he opened an English Teaching school, he has been a career development professor at the John Cabot University in Rome and offers management consulting to companies and start-ups up. He speaks Italian and English perfectly.
